Anti-Slavery Policy

Sharps Redmore has a zero-tolerance attitude towards slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking.

Staff are encouraged to bring to the Directors’ attention any concerns or suspicions they may have about modern slavery, whether it applies to Sharps Redmore or any of our business suppliers/partners that they interact with as part of their duties at Sharps Redmore.

Staff are made aware of modern slavery guidance and information including the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Sharps Redmore comply with the relevant sections 15 to 25 of the Immigration, Asylum & Nationality Act 2006. Sharps Redmore do not subcontract work, nor use labour provided by external agencies, therefore the necessary control measures relate to direct employees only.

As part of the recruitment process for staff the Company requires that, prior to entering an employment contract, prospective employees demonstrate that they have the right to work in the UK. Through this method all staff are checked for the right-to-work.

This is carried out using a manual right-to-work check (as detailed in the Home Office- Employer’s guide to right to work checks dated 23.09.24) and as guided by our external HR advisors and original documents are both inspected and copies retained on file for the duration of the person’s employment and for a further two years after they stop working for you. The file is then securely destroyed.
