With over 40 years of experience, Mark specialises in the noise control of mechanical services and power generation plant, generally in the commercial or industrial sectors. Mark has a wealth of experience in assisting with planning noise issues and has advised on hundreds of mechanical services installations across the country. More recently, he has worked on many projects within the green energy sector, such as EV charging stations.
Having started his journey at Flakt Woods Limited in 1984 as an engineering apprentice, Mark progressed to the acoustics department where he became a Senior Acoustic Design Engineer, focusing on the noise control of air movement equipment. Before joining Sharps Redmore as a consultant in 2005, Mark also worked for major acoustic equipment manufacturer, IAC Ltd, where he gained further experience in the building services industry, and developed his knowledge of noise control engineering with respect to power generation.
Mark now focuses on working closely with clients and design teams to create specifications for noise control measures to meet the necessary acoustic requirements for each project. With a keen eye for detail, Mark also works with contractors to ensure compliance with the specifications set, and advises on additional mitigation requirements during the development.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters or having a pint or two and watching whatever sport is on the TV.
