Martin joined Sharps Redmore in the summer of 2014, having spent many years as a Senior Environmental Health Officer at Tendring District Council running the Environment team. Martin has taken his experience of Local Authorities, the planning, licensing and nuisance regimes into his consultancy work together with his knowledge and experience of noise control and mitigation measures.

Since working at Sharps Redmore, Martin has built up experience in entertainment noise control, and residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. He has worked on countless noise assessments and reports to accompany planning applications and noise at work assessments, and provided chapters for Environmental Statements.

Martin has had a keen interest in music and live performances since the late 1970s and is a regular attendee at local venues in Ipswich, Colchester, and London and across the country when the opportunity arises, and is passionate about supporting smaller gigs at local, grassroots venues.
