Since graduating university and joining Sharps Redmore as a graduate consultant, Tom has developed a keen interest in building acoustics, particularly assisting with UKAS testing and building commissioning.

Thomas graduated from the University of Southampton with a Masters in Acoustical Engineering in 2024, and decided to join Sharps Redmore after having worked as a technician for a summer job between university years.

While at university Thomas gained a keen interest in human perception of sound and vibration, and how this can affect people. This led him to acoustic consultancy, where reducing the impacts that sound and vibration have on people is one of the main aspects of the job.
Since joining Sharps Redmore full-time in 2024, Tom has become an associate member of the Institute of Acoustics.
Outside of work, Thomas like to keep active with running, going to the gym and playing American football for the Ipswich Cardinals.
