The C3 Church, who describe themselves as an “evangelical, charismatic Christian church”, have Churches across East Anglia and online. Their Church in Cambridge in particular is far from your average place of worship.
Hosting vibrant live music events, large Sunday meetings and a range of other community-focused activities, it was essential that the members of the Church could come together and raise their voices in song – without disturbing the neighbours!
Sharps Redmore were fortunate enough to assist The C3 Church by providing our acoustic services to this project, where it was essential that the live performances within the building were enhanced by the acoustics of the venue, and that the building envelope was designed to limit noise breakout and prevent potential disturbance to nearby local residents.
This project was a combination of conducting an environmental noise assessment and design review to assess noise breakout from the building, and also providing acoustic advice to ensure the acoustics in the room were suitable for live performances and speech.
It’s great to see that this space is now enjoyed by the community at the Church, and that it allows fun to be intertwined with worship.
